151/365-11 hypractivity

Yes, hypractivity.
After finishing up my personal mission recently,
I just felt these great burden off my shoulders and mind.

For one of the first times in a very long time, I felt free.

Well, I have class tomorrow and we were supposed to get some kinda watercolour mark
and add it into our digital painting later. I'm not sure how we're going to do it. But it sounds like loads of fun :D

There.
It's nothing much.

But y'know what.
I had a lot of fun.

149/365-11

"Sometimes great ideas aren't all that difficult to think of.
It's just the matter of putting those ideas into action that's difficult."

So I was here. Tesco Puchong last week. Blood drive. In a mall. Pretty much explains everything aye?

Why am I even talking about this one week later. Meh, maybe I just ran out of ideas to blog about.

So what great ideas? Ok maybe not all that great. Just some ideas to grab attention. If you worked as a sales promoter or anyone who were putting their neck out there just to give all those passerbies some flyers, or to talk to them, hahaha, I think you might know the dilemma.
There were around 7 of us I think. And the people in the mall seemed quite on the edge about our presence there. When we try to initiate a conversation, or as much as said a word to them, they'd start shaking heads in absolute negativity, positively knowing that they didn't want to talk to us at all.

After all, we're all begging people to bleed for the greater good just trying to let people know that there's a blood drive going on. So we got pushed away again and again. And I felt sorry for those who had to do that duty. Which was why I did the thing on my left.

At first, it began with cardboard boxes with the words written as shown above. But we got shot by the management at Tesco, calling it inappropriate material. Everyone felt down for a while, because there were all in with it. So I cycled around the area to find a print shop. Lucky for me, I did, made 3 poor typo layouts of  "YOU HAVE THE POWER TO SAVE 3 LIVES," "YOU CAN BE A HERO TODAY" and hahaha, oddly enough, this one worked the best among the 3, "IT COULD BE SOMEONE DEAR TO YOU."

The effective part only came after this 'cause I found that those words couldn't be read by the big crowd out there. And if they can't see it, or even notice it around, it'd be utterly pointless. I went out again on my wheels expecting to find a stationary shop or two. But to my dismay, I wasn't that lucky this time. On the other hand, I found a stick. I brought it back, washed it, and used my folder to paste 2 sides of the layouts I made so that it becomes something similar to a board.

And there, I had myself a signboard. I didn't know if it was gonna work or not, but that's the nice part, it actually did. It made heads turn and people were really starting to ask about the blood because it was held up mighty high with my stark red volunteer vest. I was noticed. And the best part is, I didn't have to approach people who weren't interest in it.

First day, 50+ people.  Second day, 70+ people. Donno if my effort had anything to do with it. But I'd like to think that it did haha.

I didn't take a picture of the board so.. oh well. I just drew it instead with a certain Doreamon-ish girl I knew who also helped out during the event. So... if you have a great idea... just do it? :D

148/365-11 Awkwardness

There is no such thing as an awkward silence when the awkwardness never even existed between any two individuals to begin with. Awkward. An illusion to those who believe in its unwelcome existence themselves.
In the presence of someone as comforting as you, how can one let awkwardness take over?

Anyone would be a fool to behave s such, in front of the most important person in their lives.

147/365-11 Sudden Openings

There will be times when you're given an opportunity to act; to leave an everlasting impression on someone. When that happens, your true self will show, especially when it felt like there was absolutely no doubt at all in what you should be doing next. You just know it's the right thing to do, there and then. It felt, natural even.

I've experienced both the bad and the good. It's just too bad there's nothing I can do to change that mistake I did years back. Because I know that day, a dear friend's heart remained shut for eternity.

Penang Condominiums For Sale

Howdie folks, looks like I've just got meself another request to do a blogpost for Propwall again. Only this time, it's not the ordinary Propwall, nor the Singaporean one, but it's very own latest Penang addition!

Check out all the cool properties you can get at http://www.propwall.my/penang/classifieds with pricelists that'd simply knock you off your socks 'cause everything there just seems so damned expensive! Well, from the look of the page at first glance that is haha.

Alright, I take that back, there's actually some pretty good deals if you take a little effort in browsing through the many lists available. The ones with good prices are mostly located at Butterworth, Seberang Prai and Air Itam with prices ranging from the average of 200k to 500k. And they're all double-storey too, so the value is pretty damn good if you ask me. Oh, I also spotted a 70k+ one at Sungai Nibong!

But of course the central areas like Georgetown and such ain't gonna be cheap. I see the least expensive being 800k and most expensive going up to about 2.5mil. So if you've got more wealth to spend, Georgetown might be a good place to look into for your investing purposes ^^

Oh, before I forget, lemme introduce some new features in the latest Propwall repertoire:

If you see this nifty little detail on your left sidebar, then yes, it's a convenient tag for all popular areas and districts in Penang so fear not if you aren't very familiar with the whole Penang landscape and setting. Just click your preferred area and see what deals are coming through any time of the day!

But I'd strongly advise anyone new to Penang to ask the nice experienced property dealers at the Answers tab on the upper right. I'm sure whoever moderating or kind members of the property site would take notice of your dilemma and give you quick and effective solutions to any of your peculiarities and curiosities.

Also, not to forget, Propwall Penang is actually a branch out from the main page of the original Propwall page unlike Propwall Singapore. So if you see a similar box like the one above, it should have the tags of all states in Malaysia that has properties available. If you happen to lose the url by chance, please do use my link at your leisure or you can just click Penang under the Area tab in the main Propwall page.

Well what're ya waiting for? Check out Propwall Penang today! 8D (Link is on the second paragraph)

Good luck in all your property investment endeavours!
Who knows, one might make you some big bucks ^^

141/365-11 Friend's Request II

Second proposition! I played with some alignments to get that designer-class feel.
I'm deliberating between wanting to putt he flower on the grey spot or not 'cause it
looks sorta off in a way. But when the colours were inverted on the backside of the card
it sure seems to fit perfectly.

I also added some line elements to see how it goes with the overall. I must say the one
that looked like a staircase impression is the best out of all. Gives the feeling of striving for
excellence somewhat.

I tried adding the blue cubes at one just to see if it works. Seems ok. But doesn't seem all that
necessarily. Quite negligible if you ask me. It can be left empty or with that element depending on
how she wants it.

Also, I added a little curved cropmark on one side of the card. I just thought it'd make the overall look more
different and memorable maybe?

What do you think? D:

Oh, and look what I found in my e-mails :D:D:D:D:

it's my lovely long lost typo assignment from i-ching's era! 8D

138/365-11 Hi Nat. Again

not complete yet obviously. But I certainly am excited to see how it turns out when I'm done.

For now, I just finished colouring the face. It needs more touching up. The highlights aren't that clear yet I think. And I'm certainly gonne be needing to do some major dottings at the bottom. Lets see how it turns out later. Oh fuck. The eye seems a bit off and that nose is......................

If any of you buggars out there find something alarmingly abrupt in the picture that I might have failed to see (besides the above stated of course) with my own egoistic set of eyes, sure, feel free to flame/criticize/insult me lol. Not that I particularly mind anyways. After all, only people who care would comment right?

It's just something Randy Pausch said.

"Coach Graham rode you pretty hard, didn't he?" he said.
I could barely muster a "yeah."
That's a good thing," the assistant told me. When you're screwing up and nobody says anything to you anymore, it means they've given up on you."
 Randy Pausch (The Last Lecture)

oh, if you were wondering where I got this handy quotes from, well, Randy's one is here and Oprah's one is here. All you need to do sometimes is just Google really. And man, painting with a quote in mind sure makes things a lot more... different. And exciting. Dontcha think?

137/365-11 Oprah Winfrey sez

sort of finished...?

Hi Nat. You shall be my mixed media subject. Ohohohoh.
Ugh. My not tracing skills not power enough. Need more time.Pfft.

Oh, and I like Oprah's quotes. There was one that really caught my eye. It wasn't talking about success and all, but about the people around you, and how you should be behave in set in a particular situation.

"If friends disappoint you over and over, that's in large part your own fault. Once someone has shown a tendency to be self-centered, you need to recognize that and take care of yourself; people aren't going to change simply because you want them to. "
 Oprah Winfrey

So I guess this must mean that it was my fault to put any hopes into anyone, especially when they have shown the signs. Such a stuck up world we live in. And Oprah's right. If the world ain't gonna be kind, we've gotta stay strong.

and...

"One if the hardest things in life to learn are which bridges to cross and which bridges to burn."
 Oprah Winfrey

I just recently talked to a friend, and that friend was mentioning about a certain someone who seems to have stay away written all over him due to the overwhelming negative influences he was giving off. But my friend was smart and kept distance with that influence. And my friend did it early. For recognizing it and taking action, I laud her for her efforts.

I probably should too.

also

"True forgiveness is when you can say, "Thank you for that experience."
 Oprah Winfrey

We all get angry at other people a whole lot of times. Sometimes to the extent that you feel like strangling the other to death with your very own vicegrip. But sometimes, it just helps us to mature more and well, instead of holding a grudge, why not say the above sentence? Oprah did it. I don't see why we shouldn't too.

and last but not least

"Surround yourself with only people who are going to lift you higher."
 Oprah Winfrey

A line closely related to the bridges. Avoiding from your threats is one thing. Finding the ones who'd make you run faster, jump farther and fly higher is another. These people are all around you, if you pay close attentions. If you find one or more, take the opportunity to know them, be genuine and sincere to them. And I'm sure you'd get what you do to them in return.

129/365-11 Drink Me

Hi, I'm a cup that ain't thoroughly washed after being filled up with Milo and was
picked up by another unfortunate person to drink water as my body was infested with
awesome red ants. The unfortunate person didn't realize the ants being there until about
the third guilp and probably had some extra protein ingestion. Realizing to his terror,
he spitted out whatever remaining liquid there was in his mouth, coughed his lungs out
until his throat became soar and washed his face rigorously with water only to find
the lingering feeling of something creeping behind the back of his oesophagus.
It's official. He's in a bad mood.

On a completely unrelated note however, that guy also managed to doodle this while waiting for the lecturer to come for his first vehicle instruction workshop.

He drove. For the first time in his life.Made a whole bunch of mistakes.Still needs lots practice. Holding the clutch is fucking irritating. He doesn't understand how people can actually drive cars with it. Oh wait, there's auto.

Also, some nut dumbwit is trying to make Malaysia a Christian country. *ahem* excuse me for being rude but we already have enough problems with the current religion alone, bringing in that will result in a chaotic crusade of sorts I'm sure. Now that'd be one helluva massacre. No wonder that stuck up wants to make it happen.

Politics, sometimes, is for people who can't
live and think properly for themselves as they
so always aspire to change how other live
but not theirs. The total epitome of hypocrisy.
